Manual laboratory valves with integrated hygienic flush

NOVALAB has developed a product range of manual laboratory valves with integrated hygienic flushing equipment. This programmable stagnation flush always ensures hygienically perfect drinking water without remaining dead strands, as the flushing takes place directly via the spout. Numerous design variants of these laboratory valves offer almost unlimited application possibilities.

Hygienic flushing modules

NOVALAB has developed an autonomous flushing system for laboratories, but it can also be used in any other area of water supply. The flushing system allows free programming of flushing intervals and flushing times and can be used for cold and hot water supplies. The NOVALAB hygienic flushing module has a solenoid valve and integrated programmable control electronics that are used to flush the pipes regardless of use.

Hygienic safety in laboratories

Installation systems that are hydraulically connected to a drinking water supply system must carry water of drinking water quality in accordance with the Drinking Water Ordinance and make it available at all valves.

This also applies to laboratory installations. However, especially in laboratories, taps are often used rarely, intermittently or only sporadically. The resulting stagnation of the water in the supply lines creates the risk of microbial contamination, which endangers not only the users, but the entire hydraulically connected home plumbing system.

To effectively avoid such a situation, regular flushing of all or even selected fittings to interrupt periods of stagnation has proven to be effective. This can be done by means of personnel-intensive, time-consuming and error-prone manual intervention. However, the optimal solution is an automated rinsing system.

Autonomous flushing systems for all needs

NOVALAB has developed an autonomous flushing system for laboratories, but it can also be used in any other area of water supply. The flushing system allows free programming of flushing intervals and flushing times and can be used for cold and hot water supplies. The NOVALAB hygienic flushing module has a solenoid valve and integrated programmable control electronics that are used to flush the pipes regardless of use.

Another option is to flush the pipes with "intelligent" fittings. These terminal electronic fittings automatically flush the supply lines through programmed flushing intervals to the point of the valve.

The NOVALAB electronic fittings for touchless use have an integrated use-dependent hygiene flush that automatically triggers flushes.

The intervals and the flushing time can be programmed individually. The power supply is provided by means of a plug-in power supply or by means of a battery, which is independent of the mains, and is therefore also suitable as a retrofit solution. From an economic point of view, these electronic flushing devices are particularly useful for valves that are routinely used less or hardly at all, but still have to meet the highest safety and hygiene standards.

In addition, the NOVALAB electronic valves ensure that water flows only when it is needed, thus reducing water and energy consumption. Due to the contactless operation of these valves, pathogenic germs cannot be transmitted from one user to another via the fitting.
